Theory of Color and RGB LED Light

Basically there are three primary colors (red, green and blue). These are mixed together, in different proportions to give off the various color shades. The mixing of colored light is called additive color mixing and in a nutshell. This is the purpose of the RGB LED light Controller. It mixes the three colors to create other colors by dimming on the other 3 main colors. White light is perceived where all three additive primaries overlap to the same volumes. Since the white mixture results from the adding of three color light sources, the white light appears to be the brightest of all. Through changing the intensities of the single light sources, a full range of colors can be obtained.
